Good customer service, poor bearings,
I purchased this pump to replace my original pool pump of 3 years due to screeming bearings. Within three months this pump also began screeming. Customer service was prompt and helpful. I sent the motor back and instead of fixing the motor I recieved a new one. But I am sorry to report this new motor just began making the same screeming noises. I have winterized the pool now so I will be sending the motor to a local shop to have good quality bearings installed. I did not contact seller since the defect is in the product not their performance.
Update to this review. In fact the bearings were defective and in need of replacement after only three months of use.

pool pump replacement,
We purchased this as a replacement for original pump. We really like the two speed option for energy efficiency. We leave it on low unless we are actually in the pool. Also this year we bought an outdoor rated timer to run pump only during daylight hours. This pump is powerful and still quieter than our original. Took only minutes to install.Price was about half what our local retailers wanted.
